This is pretty cool, many people would purchase for sure. It would take cTrader a decade to implement this lol.

What I would really like to see is more brokers offer cTrader as some brokers already have this feature, such as Oanda advanced charting.

Just noticed that closed deals cannot be seen on Renko charts, only on classic or Range.

It would be good to add this missing feature.

I know that the comparison with other products is not fair, but sometimes it is necessary. The development is extremely slow compared to competition...

Yes we need deal map added to renko charts. But you can see a "closed deal" on a renko chart.. just click the position in your history tab, and it will appear on the chart..

we need renko chart in the mobile

I agree. But mobile is always a lesser version anyways. I only have it on my phone in case of emergencies where I can't use my PC (power outage or pc breaks down or w.e)

I only trade using my desktop platform. But I also like to be able to monitor that via mobile. So I use a remote desktop app on my phone so that I am able to view and use my pc while I'm away from the desk. It works fine for me, great in fact. So I thought I'd recommend that to you. Cheers.

Dear Trader,

Currently the charts are drawn based on the bid price. We will provide users the ability to see the charts based on the ask price in the future. Stay tuned.

Hey is this available yet? How do I see what the spread was on a pair at a certain time? Is this possible?!

Hi Matt,

Deal map is available on renko charts as well.

Best Regards,

That sounds Amazing! Any idea as to why I can't turn my deal map on when on a renko chart? Thanks!

Hello everybody.

I am looking for a good cTrader broker with a good spread on AUDSGD pair. ICmarkets seems very good but they dont accept Canadian citizens. Most of brokers I checked dont offer AUDSGD or have quite high spreads on this pair.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

I am from Canada, and I use Octafx. I don't think they have this pair though...

Spotware definitely needs to find good Canadian Broker's to partner with!! PLEASE!

Hi Matt,

Can you please provide more information about this issue? What is the problem and in which version do you experience it, 3.5 or 3.6?

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

I have a cbot that I can not use due to the update. It will not open any positions! There is a major bug on cTrader 3.6 Automate API, which doesn't execute the code on each new upcoming bar. I am waiting for next update to have this issue solved, hopefully!

Hey Mat, I already reported the issue, its Renko chart OnBar method bug.

Indeed AlgoDeveloper has reported such an issue but it would be good to have the cBot and confirm that it is the same issue and that it has been resolved.

Yes, I know you did @AlgoDeveloper Thank you very much for doing that. I highly appreciate it! I just wrote here out of impatience lol, and also to ensure that it was not forgotten about.

I don't mind sharing the bot here, as without the correct parameters it is useless, but because I just had it developed, I don't really want to share it publicly for now at least. I think any renko bot that uses OnBar method should produce the bug. But please, I would be happy to give you a copy, feel free to e-mail me at matt_graham_92@hotmail.com and I will send it right over. Or you could message Algo Developer and I'm sure he won't mind giving you a copy. Either way. Thank you very much for your replies and all that you do for us Panagiotis. I really hope the issue can get resolved in a timely fashion. Thanks again.

Wow, I am just terrible! I was actually awaiting email responses to reply to this thread, I must have missed them.
I now know exactly what the issue is. It has nothing to do with cTrader backtesting. It is an issue on my bot.
You see, because my bot is a renko bot - it cant be backtest. But it was coded so it would build simulate a renko chart in backtesting, so that it could actually be backtested.
The issue was it was incorrectly building the renko charts, which is why I got different trades when backtesting 1yr and 2yrs back.
I was told this:
the bot does its best to simulate Renko data from tick by tick data, sometimes the back testing data isn't valid and on tick change can be 100 tick change on the price due to missing data.
So it was on my end!! Sorry, and thank you both very much for the replies, I greatly appreciate it!

Please please, can we get renko chart back testing?! xD

Hi enam3074,

Thank you for posting in our forum. We do not have an ETA for this feature but the development team is currently working on it. It should be included in one of the releases planned for 2019.

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

Lets get this going!!

Hi Matt,

No this is not possible. Sell orders open on the Bid price (somebody bids a price for the asset and you sell) and close on the Ask price (somebody asks a price for the asset and you buy).

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

Yes, but If i change the "arrow" in settings under quick trade, for stop loss, from stoploss will be triggered by bid price for buy positions and ask for sell positions, TO stoploss will be triggered by ask price for buy positions and bid price for sell positions, Will I lose more than 30pips if thats what stoploss is set to, since the position is still being calculated by the ask price (for sell positions)

Have a look at this cBot. Lots to trade 1.0.

Easy to setup and to retrieve information on how many lots to trade according to basic risk management principles.

Free to download here: Lots to trade 1.0

I can't seem to get that from the link. Any chance you have a direct download link!? Thanks
