I have done extensive testing after the update yesterday. It seems like everything is working the way it should now. It shows how dedicated the Spotware Team are to bring us the best trading platform ever and to quickly solve issues coming up.

Hi,

I have done some more testing today just to make sure it was not a one day thing. Still the same problem today. "siciliada" explained it right on spot. If you have 4 positions and sell off 2 it still shows 4 open positions. This is both on ChartObjects.DrawText and I also added Print just to make sure it did not print the correct value, no the same there it printed 4 position opened. after restarting the cBot it shows the right value for awhile and after some time running it the same problem occurs.

This problem is not specific on open positions it shows the wrong value on several coding snippets. As I said before everything has been working fine until the last update. What is the conclusion?  Maybe you changed the memory management on the last update or something similar to that. Please investigate what is causing this behavior. The broker I've been using have preformed flawlessly for 2 years so I don't think it's a broker issue.

A good name for the outlet section

Hi Jimmy,

I agree totally on your question #1. A lot of programmers and companies are developing algorithms that they want to offer to the public. To write a robots can take an considerable amount of time and effort. Very complex algorithms can take up to a year. They need an outlet for their hard work. I have suggested to the Spotware Team to make a special tab on the top menu for just that. Another solution would be to have a special section on the forum itself for it. The name you mentioned "cAlgo Market" sounds like a good name. Up to Spotware though to give it an appropriate name. The #2 question I have not experienced my self and maybe it has to do with your internet connection, firewalls and so on.

Scyware and Robotlink is NOT a scam!

Hi guys,

I've been using the Robotlink plugin and it works exactly as advertised. I had some questions about solving an issue involving stopping other robots from a main robot. I got very fast answers from the Scyware support team. They took their time answering every question I had and my problem was solved quickly. The Robotlink plugin is a piece of software that can be programmed to control other robots in various ways and I would say in my case it worked brilliantly.

Hi,

if I build a cBot without the source code, the "Manage References" is not available. If the "encrypted" code is then handed over to the end user he will will not be able to Manage References in the robot. Would be good if that was manageable.

Hi,

the cAlgo an cTrader platforms are primarily towards currency trading at this moment. I am waiting for the announcement as well to bring indices and futures to the platform. We need it cause and MT4-5 have it, so I think it's just a matter of time before brokers and the Spotware team will have it available for us.

who does not want to be a millionaire :)

The thing is, a period can be any lenght from a month to a year I suppose. Compounding the account and not withdrawing anything under the lenght of the strategy. OK I must admit that a strategy like you are giving us here totally free of charge is achiveable but as we know things happen in trading and a strategy might not work out exactly as planed but never the less thanks for bringing up the importance of compounding.

Encrypted code and manage references

Hi,

When you encrypt the source code the Manage References is not available. Is there a way to get around it or is it not possible? It would be nice if an encrypted code still could use the Manage References.

Do not worry WhiteSage,

a forum is a forum where we all do have the advantage of speaking out and get the message across to those who are willing to listening.

It also brings it up to the attention of the the forum and the platform developers to make changes that will benefit us all.

All changes for the better are welcome and I know the Spotware team are working hard to make this happening. A dedicated team that have the traders interest at heart, in the first place.

no help needed for placing the text on other parts of the screen. :)

Just a fix to be able to move the run robots placement in the left lower corner of the chart in cTrader. That would be highly appreciated.

Hi jeremysprite,

this is high on my list as well. To be able to change the font sizes and other attributes like bold and so forth. Boxes behind the text as well would be a nice feature.

The Spotware team I suppose understand the urgent need to implement all of this in the  ChartObjects.DrawText. It will come but when, that is the question?

Atrader, it sure did work and thanks once again for you excellent coding. If I am not mistaken the info printed to the log is without commission. Maybe you have an idea how to add code to include commission both ways. It will then give a more accurate sum of the risk.

What I'm after is the risk based on the balance. For example if the account balance is 10.000 and and there is lets say 5 positions opened with a 20 pips stop loss each and the total volume on all the positions are 250.000. The risk would then be 5% or in amount 500 which you are at risk to lose if the stop loss are hit on all the 5 positions.

Hope it clarifies somewhat what I would like to print to the log.

I'm just after to print the amount at risk based on all opened positions.  So counting total volume, stop loss and pip value on all opened positions might do the trick.

Any suggestion for a code to achieve this?
