Can anyone help? I've just started to use cAlgo and backtesting only works up to (and including) 29/072016.
Using m1 bars prices works correctly up to today.
Is this expected or is the data missing?
Many thanks
Did you every hear anything from Spotware or your broker on this?

good points
Ok, I see...
1) If one sided is all you trade that's fine... but you are missing opportunities by not letting the market dictate your trading direction and opening yourself to opportunities in both directions potential at the same time (especially in mean revision/micro mean revision type strategies)
2) I concede I missed the "19:1" explanation/wording in your original post... my bad --> What leverage are you incorporating to get the shawn return? That also tells a story. Regardless, 42% over more than a year timeframe is just an ok return; it's not really great unless you are in fact assuming 1:1 leverage.
3) I trade from US (futures) only using this application/forum as a playground for quick dev for idea generation... so I didn't know about these type instruments... very interesting indeed... you do learn something new everyday I guess
All said, regardless of outside opinions like mine, you have to believe in what you know/have to trade... so great job on your progress!

nice chart... but
looks like it's trading a one sided market and showing 0 commissions...
also looks like risk is 10x reward... seems high... and 41% return on 19:1 is not that great if you back down to 1:1
I'd think changes to these details would paint a different picture if included

from my broker... lol... spotware is becoming a complete joke... they are all about window dressing and not becoming a legitimate option for professionals...
What bs...
"Spotware have replied back to us, and can confirm that the tick data exists and should be available from your platform. Backtesting could stop at a certain date but this would be due to some setting or issue with your cbot.
If you are able to see tick charts on your cTrader platform, then you would need to debug your cBot to see why it stops on this particular date.
Please get back to us should you have any other questions at all, and we will be happy to assist you further"

RE:
I don't understand the point you are trying to make...
There is an issue with the tick data...
I sent you two screen shots, one with a robot executing trades and one with a robot (empty) that only has logic to print prices to the log...
The first that executes did not run out of money, the second can't because it doesn't execute any trades...
so either you didnt understand what I sent over, or you didnt pay very close attention...
based on your approach to answer my concerns and address the tick data issue by trying to make me look like I dont know what I'm talking about.. I assume it could be both

Dear Trader,
An empty robot cannot run out of money.

RE:
the robot that runs out of money was a blank robot as you requested to test the bars shown...
Spotware said:
Dear Trader,
For technical reasons and to guarantee the integrity of the tick data in backtesting you cannot backtest using tickdata of the present day and of the day before. You run backtesting up to the 26/07/15 which was a Sunday and the market is closed during the Weekend.
The screenshots you send and the conversation that we had through the emails indicate that your robot runs out of money.

I'm using tick data to backtest EURUSD
it seems there is a delay in the data available....
I have two issues...
1. today is 7/28/15 but it only allows me to select as far forward as 7/26/15 as an end date for a backtest
2. If i do run a test from 1/1/15 - 7/26/15 as allowed, I only get data results through 7/24/15 (it only gave data through 7/16/15 as of two days ago)
something is not right it seems with the tick data

I tried starting the backtest in July... and it still only goes through 7/16/15... has something changed with the data?

elaborate on this... you suck
it's been a whole week since I first asked for help...
and the problem has been happening since 8/1/16...
not to mention, I'm not the only one on this forum that's experienced the same behavior...
backtesting t1 tick data is missing beginning on 7/29/16 for all pairs...
Take any one of your sample bots and run it any day in Aug and you will see...
Could be you or could be broker but they said they have reached out to you and are waiting a response...
so regardless where the problem is... your lack of urgency and effort is both alarming and telling
this is a prime example why you are not the industry standard...
to be accepted you have to operate in a professional manner...
over a week to respond to a live account issue is NOT professional by anyones standards!
