Hi, Spotware Developing team

The freeze bug of the cTrader continues. Users of cTrader are at risk due to the bug.

‘On tick' and 'Renko chart' cBot frequently freezes. I think it is a memory overfllows of tick data. I also mentioned in another thread that this issue can be avoided by the user limiting the number of bars in the chart. MT4 also allows the user to choose the number of bars in the chart.

Spotware should fix the freeze bug ASAP.
Best regards,

RE: cBots frequently freeze during trading.

Hi there,

Sounds more like a problem with your cBots. Spotware cannot control the quality of the cBot code you run. You should try to optimize them. Else share your cBot code and exact steps how someone can reproduce your problem

PanagiotisChar, thank you for your replying.
The MT4 EA of the same program is working without any problems, so it is unlikely that there is a problem with the cBot code.

Even though the VPS, broker server, and internet are connected and the cBot button is orange and working,
Occasionally, a problem occurs where cBot is stuck and does not trade.

Since the cBot button and the Automete lamp on the chart are in the operating state, it is impossible to determine whether the cBot is moving or stopped.

When cBot is stuck, I can take a screenshot if the cTrader platform displays an error signal, but if there is no error display, I cannot reproduce the problem.

However, if I get suspicious because cBot is not trading where it should be and restart the cTrader platform, cBot will recover and start trading normally.

This kind of situation occurs from once a week to once a month. This often happens during periods of heavy trading.
Is the multi-functionality of the cTrader platform negatively impacting the operation of cBot?

There have been similar posts recently. I think it's probably the same problem.

Hi iddqd,

Thanks for reporting this. We managed to reproduce the problem. It will be fixed in a future update.

The MAType of Moving Average has also automatically changed its default from Simple to Exponential after the update.

All cBot parameters and workspaces being traded also have their MAType defaults changed from Simple to Exponential, which have negative impacts on trading.

Please announce to all cTrader users when changing the default settings of indicators.

Best Regards.

RE: RE:

Thank you for your reply.

My VPS is located in Germany. My local PC and mobile-phone are located in Japan. Therefore, I often access the same account of cTrader from different locations, almost every day.

In order to switch back to the nearest proxy-server, I have to restart the cTrader because it doesn't switch back after a long wait.

If the proxy-sever is often switched while trading on the cTrader/cBot, the cTrader/cBot trading will become unstable and normal trading will not be possible.

I would be grateful if you could improve on this issue. I think one is the server 're-scan' on the cTrader platform.

Kind Regards
