Hi winning.pips,

We gave an official response here. I am not sure what issue are you referring to and what do you expect to be resolved.

Thanks...

I'm just trying to understand the copy trader... there seems to be a few technical hurdles for those who don't educate themselves first.

I don't want to Hijack your thread, but can someone explain what equity to equity recalculation is?   Does it affect the signal provider. or those copying?

There seem to be a lot of complaints about this, is it just because a lot of people like me don't understand the system and end up doing something wrong?

If money `disappears`'... where does it go?

Thanks,

Peter

I understand now what happened now. As Phantom experienced further drawn down, he added funds, increasing his equity, this is something I overlooked when adding my own funds, which when I added caused my equity to rebalance from around 1:60 to 1:40  (Thus cutting 1/3rd of my position whilst I was in deep draw down). Just wasnt aware that It would happen until after it had.

I would be wary of using Phantom (SA Trends) on ct trader copy anyone who is reading, he isnt as honest as he comes across when talking to him on telegram

So, if either the strategy provider, or the copier want to add/withdraw funds, should they .... stop copying-make the necessary changes- start copying again ?

Then the algorithm starts fresh with the new balance?

Thanks,

Peter

Do anybody have feedback on this matter?

I see the last post was in Aug so was just wondering whether this was resolved or not. Would like to make use of cTrader Copy but after reading this thread I'm not so sure. What worried me most was the reply from cTrader stating that they essentially had no control over issues like this as well as with the whole way this issue was handled.

Would like to know if and how it was settled.

Thanks

to a new trader who is interested in copy trading this seems like an important issue...

It is now November, has the issue been resolved?

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...

why is there no advice from either cTrader or the platforms on how to use copy properly, and what to be careful of ?

thanks

Hi plms702,

Yes it is possible. There is nothing special you need to do, just create your strategy and follow with the rest of the accounts you wish to follow.

Hi Pangiotis,

I use cTrader at both IC Markets and Pepperstone.

When I open my IC Markets copy, I can see the pepperstone accounts, but they are liested as GM and they can't copy the IC market account.

I would really like to do this, is it somehow possible to do this?  When I can see in IC Markets my Pepperstone accounts, there is already a pathway between the two platforms...Can you open the path and allow copy trading between the platforms.

I guess the platforms don't want this to happen... but maybe they can make an exception/allowance for accounts that have the same owner?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Verigottab,

I am not sure what is the problem you are trying to report here. Do you disagree with the equity to equity recalculation? If yes, you need to provide some evidence why it is wrong e.g. what did you expect to happen, what happened instead and screenshots of the closing deals for which you disagree.

Can someone explain to me how this can happen? are they placing orders at wierd values from another account and then matching them with the copy account to basically transfer funds?

I don't understand it, and it worrys me because I am also interested in copy trading, but now I am not so sure...

Peter
