Hi ergun,
Do you use the same broker and account in both cases?

RE:
Thanks for detailed explanation. So if i understand correctly; it only effects the margin but not profit per pip with same volume?
PanagiotisCharalampous said:
Hi ergun,
Leverage only affects the margin required for a position to open. Let's assume you have two accounts, one with balance $1000 and leverage 1:100 and one with balance $1000 and leverage 1:500. If you open a position of one lot (100000 volume) on both of them, on the 1:100 account you will use all your margin ($1000) while on the 1:500 account, you will only use $200. This means that on the 1:500 account you can open another four positions worth one lot. This is the actual use of leverage, to open positions of higher volumes. However positions with the same volume will have the same results on both.

RE:
Hi Panagiotis,
I am confused. What is the point of leverage then? I am thinking in lots by the way. How is lots converted to volume, i have no idea.
Best

Hi ergun,
I am not sure why do you expect different profits. Leverage has nothing to do with it. If you trade with the same volume, you will get the same results.

Hi Panagiotis,
Sorry but the indicator is copyrighted :(
I know the answer so you can not help :) :(

Hi ergun,
You need to be more specific with the issue. Can you provide us with the indicator code that will allow us to reproduce this behavior?

RE: RE:
Maybe we can trigger a programmatic refresh before making the calculations? Is that even possible?
ergun said:
Even this is an old post. I am having similar issue on version 3.7. If i leave a chart open long time my indicator lines change after refresh. My guess is (as a programmer) when new bar came the old bar is drawn with latest local tick. But somehow sometimes we miss some ticks because of connection reliability or something else. So time to time cTrader is refreshing the candles and when this happens if candles change (in my case the close values) indicator lines change with it. If this is the case what is the way to overcome this issue? Also i can not manually refresh the candles of forex pair while a bot is running on it. Is there a work around for this as well?

I back tested my bot with different test accounts which had different leverages. But the result was same profit. So i was confused. Is there a way to log the current leverage in the bot so i can see?
PanagiotisCharalampous said:
Hi ergun,
When backtesting, the cBot will use the leverage of the selected account. Can you please explain why do you think this is not the case?

Hi Panagiotis,
Is there a documentation for memory management for custom indicators. I am also trying to write one and i am facing the same memory issue.
Best regards

Hi dmn,
We have investigated this issue and it seems you are using a custom indicator (I-Sessions) which causes the memory issue. Can you try removing the indicator and letting us know if it resolves the issue?

I had this problem too and did not want to change anything in cAlgo.... but managed to fix it simply by editing the Bot in Visual Studio and updating that to the new framework 4.6.2.... It then calls my Class Library in 4.6.2 and works like a dream... no need for Spotware to do any updates :-)
You saved my day. Thank you very much :)

RE:
Hi Panagiotis,
They are different accounts on same broker. But each time i run a back test i refresh the charts. Should not be the ticks same?
Also i just tried to run the backtest on same machine, same ctrader instance, same user but one demo account one live account. Ticks are not same again ???
Best Regards
