Hi, i'm, running ctrader 3.8 and trying to backtest
the backtest runs but the only thing i can see is the chart - no stats on equity / drawdown etc -
see screenshot here https://soultrader.tinytake.com/tt/NTA4MTIyNV8xNTk2MTYwMg
how come the stats have disappeared from the bottom half of the screen?
ignore, found it lol

RE: RE:
I must agree. from my side of the fence it's also not good.
I want to be a signals provider. i start with something like 5k and produce steady returns without blowing up accounts.
so i hope to attract some copiers.
but then i look at the listings and i'm almost nowhere to be seen because some one started with 1000 $1 accounts and opposite traded them until it was as high as can be - and then they add that account to ctrader copy by this time they are 999 accounts down but the one that won all those times is in the 1000%+ club
This shouldnt be able to happen. the returns are only realistic by multiple accounts on a 50 / 50 chance and then picking the good one to move forward with. it's just how horse race tipsters whittle down hundreds of people into a handful of suckers.
How this is legal and how Ctrader allows this to happen is beyond me because it makes a great system of copy trading lose credibility.
the thing is the suckers fall for it - I saw accounts less than 2 months old with five and six figures in live copy traders. I produced 70% on a decent sized account in December only to be added by two demo traders and a mate who threw a grand in.
I decided that it's just not worth it and deleted the copy provider
It's not good for ctrader's reputation at all and i hate that because it's a beautiful peice of software.

Hiya, the detached charts has started failing today - i have three with two charts in each all are running renko with heiken ashio overlay. - the issue is intermittent but mostly at least one chart will not populate. switching to other profiles is the same.
note that i had a windows update pushed today on win 10

Hi, Panagiotis,
it's very sporadic, let me explain the way i work.
i have a workspace for every currency pair i want to trade and a hotkey on my keyboard to cycle through them
each workspace has 4 chartson, two of which are renko and two are standard time charts - all are a single symbol
what i do is cycle through until i see a trading opportunity - and take the trade - I place this instance on a single monitor to watch, make adjustments etc
then i open a second instance and again cycle through until i find another - repeating the process until I have my max of four instruments loaded with trades.
mostly i'm on three trades with the final of the four open for scanning.
problem is when i have more than one open (yes, even happens with just 2) for scanning is just so slow to load workspaces - sometimes it's fast, sometimes slow - sometimes (and this is the real bug) i will change the workspace and nothing will happen at all - in these instances the workspace is written to the cloud as the last one i used but with the name of the one i'm switching to and i have to close the instance, reopen and see what the damage was.
now i love ctrader, but this drives me nuts - mt4 was ancient at the side of ctrader BUT was more reliable for chart scanning etc.
the reason that i use scanning via workspace rather than by linked charts is that i cant simply change the symbol with a hotkey. it's a 3 click process to change to the next symbol in my watchlist wheras workspaces are just one hit of a hotkey.
does this help?

RE: RE: RE:
Hi Fellas, new member here.
This is great, but the colour change alert doesn't work when the HA is apoplied to a renko chart - the alert comes on when the renko changes colour - the ha changes colour at a different time to the renko.
any way of making one that works with a ha renko?
