Hi ancdriver239,

It will close all the positions of the account.

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

so essentially, if i wanted to close all my EUR positions, but not close any others in my account, then I would use the android version, as this gives me more flexibility to choose which ones..yes?

Hi ancdriver239,

No it does not work the same way on desktop. On desktop you have the option to have the button clicked on a) Single Click b) Double Click c) Completely Disabled. You also have the option to receive a warning before closing all positions.

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

Thanks for the response.

I have another question then:

If I clicked on 'close all positions' will it close ALL positions in my account, or will it close only those showing in my tradewatch panel (for instance if I used the search term panel and only had showing all my trades in say EURUSD)?

Same with Desktop?

Hi, does this process work the same way with the desktop version of the 'Close All Positions' button in the tradewatch panel?

That is, in the desktop version, once you press this button (double tap or single tap) you will be taken to an entirely new screen. In this new screen you have the option to select some options, where you can choose to close all BUY or SELL or Winning or Losing or by specific symbol.

I will add to this that recently I was watching a video by Anton Kreil (a trader) who was talking about Algo's and how now there are programs which can predict what algo's are going to do. At first I thought this was sheer nonsense, however, now that I have spent some time looking at the whole social/copy trading arena, I now see why this is possible. By showing a traders open and closed positions and the time and price of entry and exit, every strategy is available for the whole world to see not to mention computers.

Maybe this is the intention of all those who design copy/social trading platforms/sites etc.

Hi ancdriver239,

No you cannot hide then from copiers/investors. The positions will be copied to their own subaccounts.

Best Regards,

Panagiotis

Oh that is a shame.

Thanks for your response

Hi ancdriver239,

Thanks for posting in our forum. No there isn't. The concept behind cTrader Copy is that you invest in the strategy as a whole and not in individual positions.

Panagiotis

Hi Panagiotis,

Thanks for the reply

May I ask another Q:

Is it possible to 'hide' from investors/copiers the trades a strategy providor is trading? The reason I ask this is because a trading strategy is IP and if the actual positions are being shown then anyone can simply steal the trading strategy
