Although very clumbsy, a way I found to trade multiple timeframes is to first start a market replay session and then press, stop, change the timeframe, start, move forwards until a point where you would like to dive down to a lower timeframe, stop, change timeframe, start.

It's not the same as having both timeframes visible at the same time, but it allowed me to do some simple backtesting.

Interesting, I just tried your method and it works, it's very slow, but it's better than using only one time frame.

I had a similar problem a few days ago. I got charged like 7.2x swap for one day of holding Thursday-Friday. I was like wtf just happened. It was a small amount so I did not contact the broker about this. My broker is IcMarkets.

Yes, it seems you can trade only one timeframe at a time, which is still good.

Most trading simulators that I tried have this limitation where you can trade only one timeframe. But usually, they allow you to open multiple charts with different timeframes, but cTrader for now limits you to one chart at a time.

This dude lol I lost once with him. He just keep reopening his "Strategy" even if he have no idea how to trade. Also there is hundreds like him so its pointless even trying to copy anyone on "ctrader copy".

Hi. you probably using broker cTrader they usally have few version behind. You need to downloud ctrader directly from ctrader developer website that's how you will get latest ctrader version https://www.spotware.com/products/traders/ctrader-desktop

Hey buddy how is your new strategy going on? I guess as expected.  Once again everyone accounts been blown up. Spotware need to change how "copy" works to filter cowboy traders like you and protect investors money.

You can't blame the trader for your loss. Ctrader has given an option of using SL for individual users. If you are so much worried about your equity you should have used your own SL rather than blaming the Trader for not using SL. Another thing is the trade was live almost for 3/4 days and you hade ample time to assess the situation and leave the strategy. It was your negligence that you did not pay attention to the details of USDJPY pair. Profit and loss are part and parcel of Forex trading. Always invest that much you cant afford to loose. Take care and all the best.

Wow you are perfect target for scammer like him or you just part of his team :D (Most likely you part of his team). If not having exit plan on bad trades you think is good strategy that its somthing wrong in your head and I feel sorry for his followers lol

Hi amigo,

 

It's obiously a high risk strategy. The portfolio has a trading history which you can check before deciding if you want to copy or not. Keep in mind you decided yourself you want to copy and nobody forced you to do things outside of your comfort zone.

"Scam" is a funny word though. 

 

You have no clue what "high risk" is lol You have zero risk management involved in your trading so it mater of time before your new account will blow up and all your followers will loss all money again.

But course it dose not matter for you, because as soon as you start making money you will withdraw most/all of your profits and then you just keep gambling with followers money and living from "performance fees" till finally your new account will burn. And then you just open new account and repeat all over again. 

As I said above you have no clue what high risk trading is I use 1:500 leverage and I risk up to 17% and never managed to blow up account and I loss very often. All because different then you I do have risk management in my trading.

And yes you are scammer and you not alone there is hundreds like you in "cTrader copy", because it so easy for anyone to open "strategy provider account" so it attracts lowest of the low.   

Your new account is ticking bomb with equity swings like this lol One day your losing trade will not come back and your followers will loss all money again. Especially those followers who jointed at later.

Every single one of them are scammers. I wasted too much money on it.

They all have the same thing in common: they let losing trades run forever (until your account will be blown up) and close only winning positions so they can collect performance fees. Every single “strategy provider” (or more like scammer providers) that I followed for a few weeks/months was making money and then in a few days there was a -90% drop. So no stops, nothing. They just open a new $10 account and start all over again scamming people. Brokers are making big bucks so they do not give a s@@t.

And it’s not leverage that is the problem. I have used 1:500 leverage for the past 9 years and never blown up an account. The problem is none of them use any risk management. They risk their whole account by not using SL. Usually this lasts for a few months until finally one trade never comes back and blows their and customer accounts. But in those few months they made a lot of money from “performance fees”. And then they just restart and do it all over again.

It definitely have somthing to do with my VPN. cTrader just freezes again. I reconnected my VPN without closing cTrader and it worked, unfreezes instantly and work perfect. 

Before if it start freezing only closing ctrader and opening again fixed problem, but now it seam just reconnecting VPN is enough to fix freezing problem.

I think I found freezing reason for my personal case. I switching my VPN from "Automatic (Recommended)" to "Wireguard" and it seams freezing problem been fixed. 

In the morning I have switched to "wireguard" there was zero problems for hours then I switched back to "Automatic" just to test it out and yes 30min latter it start freezing again.

Before posting this comment I decided to test again switched to "automatic" and it freezes again in 19 minutes.

I will test more in coming days, but in my case its seams like this was the problem.

Im user of cTrader for maybe 8 years and I never had any problem until after new year 2023 somthing happened. Both IcMerkets cTrader and Spotware cTrader started freezing I still have no idea why, but it seams that not only I have this problem.

More details if it helps. 

My current laptop that I have is 2 years old. And I never had any issues with cTrader on this laptop until after new year. 

Laptop Lenovo,  CPU AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, 16GB RAM, GPU GTX 1650, Screen 2560x1600 60Hz, Windows 11. All drivers up to date.  

This week every 20min-1h freezes you need to close and reopen to make it work again. Sometimes it dose not freeze for few hours. And then it start freezing at random times. Early in the morning or late at night. It have nothing to do if market volatile or not. It dose not unfreeze. This is what happen when it start freezing. cTrader become completely unresponsive for maybe 1-2 min then unfreezes for few second then again freezes for few minutes then again unfreezes for few second etc and it repeats like this until you close and reopen. 

I do not use any bots just clean chart and one moving average. 

I tried clean reinstall it did not help. I tried windows troubleshoot it did not help. I tried stuff like CCleaner or Advance System Care tools it did not help

Task Manager: cTrader CPU use 1-1.5%, Memory use about 22% (1255 MB)

I had this problem for like 2 months I reported, many other reported the same problem still no fix. Freezes (No response) multiple times a day every day even on weekends like today after 1h of use freezes.

And they always have the same copy paste answer "Please send us some troubleshooting information after this happens. Paste a link to this discussion inside the text box." but still no fix.

Try running cTrader as "Run as administration" it fixed my problems. Its still freezes sometimes, but like once every 5-6h instead of every 5-15min.
