Hi, could someone please tell me exactly what went wrong today with ctrader. It is now 13:40 (utc+3) and I was unable to log into ctrader for at least a half hour which was around 13:00 (utc+3). I hold ctrader accounts at two brokers, and tech support at both said equinix had serious issues. So it would seen equinix is not not that bullet proof. What exactly went wrong? How frequently does this occur? What redundancy measures will be implemented to reduce such things from happening in the future? I was in a trade at the time. Although I had a stop in place, I would have preferred to have closed the trade based on other live feed.

Thanks.

RE:

Spotware said:

Prices are not streaming at this period for maintenance.

Why can't maintenance be done on the weekends when markets are closed?

How many times is maintenance performed during active market hours?

Can you give us the exact times so I can be watchful?

Thanks for that. I recall previously that the fib levels were hard coded. But they can now be edited. Thanks so much!

I decided to resurrect this post from the past, instead of creating a new one. Happy 2 year birthday btw.

I'm not sure why one of the most fundamental fib levels of 78.62% has been written off for the more obscure fib levels like 11.40%. I do not understand. Please make this available, or simply give us the option to create our own.

Seems that the fib rounding error xandra spoke of is still present in ctrader.

Thanks for the reply. I have followed your instructions provided, namely:

  • Go to: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\
  • You will find there some folders starting with your broker name, e.g. broker name cAlgo, broker name cTrader, etc.
  • Remove those folders that start with the broker name.

In addition to:

  • remove the following folder: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

However upon reinstall, I noticed that I can still see my former created templates. Where are these located? Where else is ctrader hiding files on my system?

Hi kricka,

Thanks for that, much appreciated. I guess I must have overlooked an update notification about this feature. Cheers.

Has this been implemented yet, as I can't find a way to add some common levels like 78.6 and 127.2

Cheers for that. Will try reinstalling the next time I come across a similar issue.

It seems to be working now. I had an issue when saving a template; it would save everything like indicators etc but would refuse to save anything i set within 'viewing options'. Not sure why it was doing that.

Thanks for that. Yep, that's what I meant. I wanted the ability for the time coordinate to be transformed by an additive constant, without any loss in data.

Hi, how is the inclusion of this functionality progressing? I would love to see it integrated soon.

It is a top priority of mine as it will allow me to get rid of the sunday candles, which only contain a few hours worth of data based on my broker's server location. This really disables indicators/calculations based on daily candles.

Also, will you incorporate daylight saving corrections when altering server time?

Cheers.
