TechWave Solutions is a fast-growing technology company seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for all technical inquiries, providing comprehensive support to our employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role is essential for maintaining a productive and secure work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to Windows and macOS operating systems, applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, G Suite), and internal systems.
Set up, configure, and deploy new hardware, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols in accordance with company policy.
Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and software licenses.
Assist with the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system upgrades and office moves.
Create and update documentation for IT procedures and common troubleshooting solutions.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
1-3 years of experience in a direct IT support, help desk, or technical support role.
Solid knowledge of Windows 10/11 and macOS operating systems.
Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, and wireless networking.
Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and IT ticketing systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Outstanding customer service skills with a patient and professional demeanor.
Preferred:
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
Familiarity with asset management software.
