Stack exchange format
Stack exchange format

This forum, like many others to do with forex, is slowly filling with garbage. The amount of ignorance, lack of knowledge, poor English and straight up lazy requests for MQL ports is nauseating. I have no doubt thousands of professionals come here once and never again, contributing furthermore to the decline of cohesive discussion. As someone who is learning this makes it ever more difficult to jump knowledge gaps.
Spotware staff are wonderful with the replies, but they seem to be holding the fort all alone. Obviously nobody wants to do someone else's work unless it's of benefit to them (eg helping customers).
Are there any auxiliary forums or sites regarding cAlgo that are moderated for garbage?
i feel that something like the formality of stack exchange could swiftly clear up a place like this, even if it brings out some smug attitude and rhetorical questioning (the classic, why are you doing this *noob-implied*?). Is there one? Should we make one?
Slightly on topic is the voting system. Surely discussion could be a better format than voting. I get that voting helps, but sadly the masses are always going to: 'vote for feature x I saw in metatrader' (guilty) and generally draw spotware's attention away from really getting to core issues and making a clean useable platform free from convoluted logic based on old habits.
Apologies if this sounds harsh, I criticize with the best intentions. Good information being lost in a sea of garbage is a pet hate of mine!

Do not worry WhiteSage,
a forum is a forum where we all do have the advantage of speaking out and get the message across to those who are willing to listening.
It also brings it up to the attention of the the forum and the platform developers to make changes that will benefit us all.
All changes for the better are welcome and I know the Spotware team are working hard to make this happening. A dedicated team that have the traders interest at heart, in the first place.

Again apologies for my slightly tongue in cheek critique. I guess last night I must have bumped in to a few to many posts that are a bit mind breaking..
