Pip count wrong by a decimal on many symbols
Pip count wrong by a decimal on many symbols

On a couple of symbols such as XAUUSD or some indices I noticed that cTrader's pip count is off by a decimal. For example, when Gold moves 10 pips (in my understanding and the understanding of every trader I know) cTrader shows 100 pips. This is especially a problem when you use the 1-Click function with tight SLs or TPs, so you get taken out immediately.
Either change the pip count to the proper way or at least make the 1-Click function in terms of SL and TP smarter for these symbols. Thank you!

Hi MrAnderson,
Pip value for symbols can vary between brokers and there is no "correct" value for pips. Every broker decides on what the the pip size will be for every symbol.

Did you find a remedy for this?

Hi wanjirumaya,
I understood the issue very well. As I wrote above, the pip position is set by the brokers, not by cTrader. Please talk to your brokers.

wanjirumaya: At the moment I don't mind a lot because I only trade forex. But here's an idea, cTrader could provide: currently there's only the option to choose a certain number in pips for 1-click SL etc. What would be great to have though would be the option to set a fixed percentage as an alternative, so cTrader calculates the SL according to that percentage risk and the lot size. I personally don't mind placing the SL myself, but because of tight SLs and high lot sizes having an auto-SL is an important safety feature for me in case there's a sudden technical problem like internet fail or something else and that's the main reason I prefer cTrader over MT4.
