Does everyone trade time based charts? Would anyone like to see Range, Renko, X # of tick charts (not pre-determined size)?

Tick charts are already available. Setting a custom amount of ticks would be new, but then again setting a custom amount of minutes for time based charts would be too.

Renko would be certainly nice though...

Range bar charts would be fantastic

If this is ever added, please, please don't add only specific ranges like you did with tick charts. This really limits the whole purpose, especially if you don't know what ranges work best with our own custom indicators.

i need renko bar, too. Plus, i wish the renko bar can be implemented with "shift pip". The shift pip means that if the trend is going one way, like uptrend, then the renko bar size can be reduce by some percentage, like R(orignal Renko Size) * 50% = 0.5R, for speeding up the trend. Customizeable Renko Charts, Range Charts and x Tick Charts!

I've been asking for other kinds of charting for years now and all they did they gaves up to 34 tick charts, completely unusable, you would have to be insane to trade with 34 tick charts, complete waste of time. Very good looking platform but very very very very very very very very very short in features. How hard can it be to add Renko, MeanRenko, Range and X-tick charts? It's like they are doing on purpose because the broker don't want trader to ;use these.

Range bars would be an excellent addition.

I know many trader who want to switch to cTrader, but they still hesitate because of lack of range bars...

Lack of Renko certainly keeps me with MT4 for the time being. Would be amazing to have them in cTrader/cAlgo!

Renko certainly keeps me with MT4 for the time being! We have been asking for this since 2012, yet Spotware seems to "not to be hearing".... or listening.

For me, this is one of the most important features, cTrader is lacking.

We have been asking for this since 2011. Unfortunately our wishes are falling on Spotware's deaf ears. Lately we have been getting useless, mostly cosmetic features.

I cannot imagine, what the problem would be or why it would take so long to implement that feature.
As they also provide Spotware Connect, which makes it possible to create your own trading platform, I don't have the impression that they are totally against Open Source or opening up there platform. Why not just support an API for the Charts or other modules like UI, Trades, Tools and so on.
I don't think Spotware would lose something by providing this. On the contrary. The platform would just thrive.
Unfortunately, there is not much detailed feedback from Spotware regarding feature requests.

It would be great, if Spotware could expose an API like NT8 did with NS. That way, everything is possible you could ever imagine (Add Ons, Charts, Bar types, Order types, Tools,...).

i'm convinced that timeframes are just a tool to make retail traders do wrong decitionns.
as the volume is the thing that does matter, not the time they do come in ..

120, 250, 500, 1000 ticks would be really somethings that could bring cTrader to the next level

and make tick charts generally "faster" ;)

It is 5 years since this first request.

It appears like Range and Renko bars may be a 'No' from brokers because of the edge they give traders who know how to use them for profit.

This is the only reason I can try and understand why these common charts cannot be added to cAlgo/Trader.

Artur has made the indicator, but you cannot use robots on them, and it is a 3rd party cost.

Need range bars sooooo desperately now.

How long we gonna wait?

And autochartist was promised in 2015, it looked like it was almost ready, nothing so far...

I am new in cTrader and I see it is quite good platform, but please extend it for Renko and Range bars charts.

cTrader is great, but lacking of many important and desperately wanted/needed features. It just seems, that Spotware has focused on different things, other than evolving cTrader.

I like to use 750 a Tick-Chart for my Forex pairs. The 5 or 10 or 34 Ticks are good for Futures, but useless for Forex.

Still waiting for Range bars...has been a 'priority' for over 3 years and still waiting.
