Vps cost is a lot lower for linux.

I think if you put some effort in your installer, we can install via Wine. MetaTrader works like a charm on Linux.

it's easier to find multi process arhitectures on linux than on windows.
imagine how you would benefit from a 32 or 64 core system when backtesting for calgo :)

with the release of .net core 2.0 which supports windows/linux/macos it shouldn't be difficult to port to .net and run your stuff anywhere. Just ditch the graphical gui and make it a web based interface for loading the cbots
