Ability to run bots without placing them on an instrument Calgo / Ctrader

Is it possible to have the ability to simply run a bot without having to place it on any particular financial instrument. From inside the bots we can clearly control anything using the timer triggers and other useful things. It seems redundant to have to always place a bot on a specific instrument that calculates multiple instruments. Like perhaps have one additional element in the instruments area that is called "Platform" or something that represents something along the lines of "you are only using the timing / threading and other instrument independent platform mechanics".
