Disable popup on hover
12 Jan 2018, 19:41

When you hover the mouse over a button the menu automatically pops up. It seems like a good idea but in practice, it is not.

When you go to click on something, most of the time you overshoot the mouse and eventually come back and land on the button you were seeking. The thing is when you overshoot the mouse you might activate another button in error because of the automatic pop up on hover.

So in actual practice you waste more time because you have to click away from the menu that popped up and try your best to slowly move the mouse over the button or tab you want to select. Good idea that turned out to be less efficient.

We should be allowed to disable this on hover function. The quick multitasking nature of anyone that works on a desktop computer should be considered during the development of ctrader. We don't have time to slow down the mouse for accurate positioning on top of the button you want. We simply move the mouse in the general direction and adjust as we go. It happens so quickly that its understandable why this variable wasn't considered.

Please fix.

Yes, especially when the customised indicator has many parameters.

Yeah, you're right. I totally agree. A lot of unnecessary time waste.
