SecurityListRequest limitations?

SecurityListRequest limitations?

I am trying to get a list of securities using the SecurityListRequest Fix API (FxPro demo account), but I am only ever getting 257 entries back, which seems to be a very small amount! I am only calling SecurityListRequest once. Is this correct?

Hi there,

The SecurityListRequest returns the symbols offered by the specific broker. The number seems reasonable to me. How many entries do you expect to be returned?

On the FxPro website it states…

Forex: Trade CFDs on 70+ FX pairs
Shares: Trade CFDs on thousands of global shares

I incorrectly presumed that cTrader and MT5 were very similar in what they could trade, but I think the numbers quoted above are only for MT5 where you can also trade shares.
