Not receiving response from FIX for requests sent after MarketClosed error message

Not receiving response from FIX for requests sent after MarketClosed error message

Hi,

We are experiencing some issues after the Market is closed on Fridays.

The problem is that after receiving the first "Market Closed" error message the following requests don't receive any response from FIX, so for those requests when we look at our monitoring system we don't know what has happened with them because we don't see any response from the FIX server.

 

From my point of view I should be getting a "Market Closed" message from fix for each request a do while the market is closed.

Right now I only receive it for the first requests, the following get no response.

 

Could you please assist me on this?

Hi Francesc,

You should be getting  a "Market Closed" message from FIX for each request you send while the market is closed. If this is not the case, please provide us with the following.

  • Account number
  • Broker
  • Proxy
  • Message that did not receive a response, alongside with a timestamp.

So that we can investigate further.

I don't know what do you mean by Proxy, is it something related to our broker/account?

Hi Francesc,

After further investigation, on that date there were no connections related to the mentioned account account on h24.p.ctrader.com. Nevertheless, there were connections on h44.p.ctrader.com. At 2021-05-28 20:59:31.038, you got disconnected and reconnected back at 2021-05-28 21:14:26.416. Hence the server didn't receive any requests from you during that time period, thus did not respond to any message.
