Change symbol in the Active Symbol Panel without opening a new chart?

Creating new orders out of the charts section crashes/freezes my browser (no matter what browser or connectivity).
So I create orders through the Active Symbol Panel - which works fine.
But: each time I change the symbol in the Active Symbol Panel to create a new order, a corresponding chart opens and replaces one of the existing charts inside my saved workspace. And will stay there.
--> Is there any way to change the symbol in the Active Symbol Panel without automatically opening a new chart?

Hi thi80,
If you don't want the ASP to change the symbol of the chart, then you need to unlink it from the relevant chart. See below
