Can I open cTrader more than 1 account same broker in the same time?

Dear Trader,

We don't provide users with the ability to choose the path of the installation files and to install multiple instances of cTrader of the same Broker. However, you can open multiple instances of cTrader of the same Broker and being logged in with different accounts.

I understand the problem running several cTrader's on a VPS at the same time. It takes too much of resources especially from the RAM memory used. To run cTrader without problems it will take 1GB RAM on the VPS. Running 3 cTrader's as in your case we are talking about 2.5-3GB RAM needed. RAM memory is very expensive on a VPS and of course it would be nice to be able to use just one instance of cTrader and several accounts opened at the same time. 

Also to be in control of several accounts and maybe different brokers too can be confusing and hard to have a good oversight of all the accounts. Have a look at this thread where you can download Broker 1.0 cBot which can easily be run on all the accounts to give a better control of all the different trading accounts.

Right Now, I can already open. I double click short cut in desktop
then login other account , you can open multi account same broker,same time and same VPS.

I am as confused as a cameleon in a sweets packet.

Jeez, all I want to do is have a DEMO cTrade and a LIVE Ctrader on the same desktop! Whay make it so difficult?

Then they get paid to do this! Irritating!

You can run two instances on cTrader at the same time and access two different accounts in parallel.

Thank you Panagiotis,

May I now ask, how?

My problem is when I open the trading station, it will always revert to the instance that I have last closed. Worst is, when I open the second instance, I have to reload all my Bots that I had loaded on it from sctratch again.

So, there must be a method that I am not aware of.

Hi exellentoak@gmail.com,

There is no secret method, just start cTrader as you would for the first instance. Any instance you open should load the last loaded workspace as well as the last used cBots, I just tested it and I don't see any issues. cBots are loaded fine. You can use different accounts for every instance.

I am sorry Panagiotis, But it does not work like that for me.

Here is what happens. I have downloaded the cTrader platform and I open it to load all of my LIVE Cbots. I now keep this open and trading.

                                     I then open another platform/instance but it does not estabilsh a seperate desktop icon), yet I can open a demo account and load my tester CBots and trade seperately from the LIVE platform.

                                     Now, for some reason, I may need to close down both, for maintenance purposes, for a weekend, whatever the reason may be. It is when I start up after this close down, that it will only load the last instance I closed down's detail. So, say I closed down the demo version first and LIVE last. Then on the re-start I will get my LIVE detail back and I can simply activate the individual cBots and trade again. When I load the demo version again, form the same desktop icon, I find the second instance empty (totally devoid from the Cbots I had loaded). So in order to continue with demo, I then have to re-load everything from scratch.

                                   Will you kindly advise as to what I am doing wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong, this is how it is working at the moment. We will provide the option for separate installations in a future update.

open ctrader accounts from same ctrader.exe

Hi Panagiotis

My issue is that i have 2 brokerages and i did sign up with same email and notified that all accounts to be linked to my ctid. I downloaded from brokerage A the ctrader.exe and installed that (on desktop). I am able to open a few sessions each with different accounts for SAME brokerage but not able for different brokerage. I just cant view brokerage B's accts under brokerage A ctrader despite using same ctid.

In mt4 its easily solved by doing a "search' and just login and install mt4.exe to different folder. So basically i can download brokerage A mt4.exe installed into eg Folder=Brokerage A, folder=BrokerB to get 2 mt4. Then i login to mt4/1 with brokerage A details for my accts. Open mt4 and do a search for brokerage B and click against that, and login to brokerage B mt4 account. If search didnt return anything meaningful its always possible to directly typed the server name, account number and password.

I have asked around and seems nobody can give an intelligent answer how to use the same ctrader installer from brokerage A to view brokerage B ctrader acct thats has the same CTID. even the cweb (ctrader web base) used different URL for different brokerages. I dont quite mind the different URL as i can always open a new tab or a new window and work with that, but for desktop ctrader it should be easy to login to ONE ctid and able to view all brokerage accts. Or i am doing something wrong, coz I have watched the tutorial video and its suppose to be working and its working under cweb at the moment. My friend show me that he had 3 brokerages ctrader all able to view under cweb under same ctid

Hi SmallStep,

A broker's accounts are only accessible through the broker's cTrader. You cannot access a broker's accounts using another broker's cTrader.

RE: Login into multiple accounts on the one server

Hi Guys,

                   I think that the Change credentials option needs to be renamed to change settings as you have to logout first to be able to login with other credentials.

Also you should be using the profiles option for multiple accounts.

Just a simple change would make this clearer.
