Question regard VPS for US based accounts.

Spotware, can you clear something up for me regarding VPS, specifically the ideal location of the VPS.
I'm trying to determine where a VPS would be located to get low latency to the order server. I am based on the east coast of the US, and use the MBTrading broker (US broker). cTrader connects to a "New York" server when I login to my live account, but I was lead to believe by my broker that the order server that trades are executed on is actually based in London. Can you confirm where the order server is located and provide an IP address to ping? I have the one for New York that I'm connecting to, and my broker provided what they have listed as the London IP but I'd like to confirm which is the relevant one and get latencies.

cTrader shows proxy location, not trading server.

IP addresses of trading servers cannot be disclosed because of security reasons. We can recommend you to find VPS in London. You can check server latency inside application.
Understood, thanks for the clarification.

Automatic selection of server not working
Hello, I got my server in London, and ping times are great when it uses london proxy. But everytime I switch to a different account, or reopen Ctrader, it will connect to different proxies randomly, like Amsterdam and so on. Is there a way to set Ctrader to only use London proxies?

Hi ulises.guerrero,
Thanks for posting in our forum. There is no way to choose your proxy in cTrader. cTrader automatically connects to the best available proxy. If it connects to Amsterdam, it means that the London proxy is not the optimal choice at that moment.

RE:
Hello Panagiotis Charalampous,
It sounds like a nice theory, but reality is far away from that. Even after connecting to 1/2 ms, simply by changing to a different account back and forth once, it will rescan the whole network and start at 10/20ms.... then simply by switching again, it will again come back to 1/2ms. If you would like a video demo, I'd gladly record it for you.
Regards
Ulises
