Now that the optimization report is functioning, there are more issues, in particular the following 3:
optimisation get stuck after a couple hundreds passes. The only option is to stop the optimisation but there is no way to repeat the optimization since the start button is unresponsive. The only possibility is to quit the program and restart, but then optimization issue remains
the trading environment seems unresponsive and the workspaces button becomes dimmed, no way to change workspace and/or save current workspace. Also trying to switch from Live Account to Demo account and vice-versa does not help
During every single day cTrader keeps reconnecting and it happens at least some 20-30 times
It must be noted that none of the above issues appear using cTrader for Mac connected to same ethernet plug and using the same account.
I think that cTrader developers should be already aware of the above.

Same issue
Can confirm the optimization issue is also happening on Windows. Started running a few passes and then stops. Cant restart optimization and cant start any other bot as it seems to freeze.
I once accepted 2 clients with cTrader projects and since then I have experienced so much misery that I have sworn to not accept any new cTrader clients. I know a few trading platforms and must honestly say that cTrader is by far the most unstable platform you can have. I will keep it short..... I learned a long time ago that I should not use the latest version of cTrader but the broker version of cTrader. These are often a few versions behind. And of course there is a good reason for that. In my opinion, the latest cTrader version should always be seen as an alpha or at most a beta version. The intention is that the bugs are found and reported by the users.
Same frustrating problems. Incredibly, aspects there were working until a week ago with previous version now are totally messed up.
I have written a long thread in the Suggestions section with a list of various bugs. For now it is not been published, I hope that they do not delete it.
cTrader 5.0.40: cBot Start Buttons Greyed Out After Running for a Few Minutes
I'm encountering also issues with cTrader version 5.0.40 on Windows:
After running the platform for a few minutes, the start buttons for cBots in the Algo section become greyed out and unresponsive. Restarting cTrader temporarily resolves this, allowing me to start a cBot, but the issue soon recurs. Interestingly, any cBot already running continues without issues, but once stopped, it can’t be restarted until cTrader is completely restarted.

I am also experiencing the same issue ( i even did a clean reinstall but the issue remains).
ps; even though the bots seem to be running, it does not execute trades (at least not in my case)
Workaround: starting your bots in an “external” process seems to work. UPDATE: also fails ☹️
You can see if you are experiencing this issue by clicking on “Add Instance”, this wheel of death appears

Just found the debug file: not sure if this is the issue:
says “algohost.cc (185) ”There are no target services!!!)
I got this from one of the cTrader groups. It is the correct program and version. That being said, it is pointless, still didnt work. I suspect that there is something wrong in terms of the connection between cTrader and Spotware servers. I have tried multiple brokers, different versions of cTrader, updated .net framework. The whole story, but still not working.
Why not ? And you know what ? Exactly what I suspected : 5.0.40 update is charging as soon as you install 5.0.38, so any chance to STICK with any else version as soon as you close Ctrader (and it happens more that I would…).
So this is absolutley not a solution.
I read also that we are using the most up to date versions, so it should be considered as beta and even alpha : euh, excuse-me…,
it is NOT written anywhere on the splash screen, may be you can give me more clues about that.
But I hope you have to admit that regression of this nature could be not considered as on a new feature that would have to be stabilized !
I always consider cbot as the best manner to automate trading, BUT from 2 years experienced user now coding in C# with this API, I find the way the application is integrated and especially how it is reciped very limited...
Think about, in IT DEVOPS, we use continuous integration with many tests cases ! That is completly wrong to deliver such poor quality in 2024 !
