# cTrader Bug Report

## Environment
- Windows 11
- Spotware cTrader version 5.0.40

## Issue Description
The platform becomes unresponsive ("freezes") after 10-15 minutes of normal operation.

## Timeline
- Issue first appeared this week
- Currently observing the issue on Sunday (possibly market-close related)

## Symptoms
- Platform stops responding to parameter changes
- Recompilation attempts have no effect
- Mouse events on the chart are not registered
- The issue consistently occurs after modifying parameters or recompiling

## Steps to Reproduce
1. Launch cTrader 5.0.40
2. Platform works normally for 10-15 minutes
3. Trigger the issue by either:
  - Modifying any parameter, OR
  - Recompiling a bot/indicator
4. Platform becomes unresponsive to all interactions

## Temporary Solution
- Restarting cTrader temporarily resolves the issue
- After restart, platform works normally for another 10-15 minutes
- Issue reoccurs after parameter changes or recompilation

## System Impact
The issue severely impacts platform usability by:
- Preventing parameter adjustments
- Blocking recompilation functionality
- Making chart interaction impossible
- Requiring frequent platform restarts (every 10-15 minutes)

## Additional Observations
- The timing of the issue (appearing on Sunday) might suggest a connection with market hours or weekend system behavior
- The problem is recent (appeared this week)

## Criticality
High - Makes the platform unusable for normal trading and development activities

Same issue for me - I've been doing some optimisation this weekend and after a couple of minute the “Reconnecting” shows in the bottom left just above “Analyze as you have as well”. I didn't get any maintenance notification so i'm not sure if there is maintenance being done in the background. 
Hopefully this is the case and not a fundamental problem

problem in save workspace

I have a problem in workspace my account , it becomes inactive and the information I have on the chart is not saved. What is the cause of this problem? If it is from your servers, can you solve it? I am really facing a problem.

I have attached the picture of this state, does this issue have anything to do with the closing of the market?

At the beginning of working with the program, it is active, after working for a while, it becomes inactive

same issue for me. Platform becomes unresponsive after around 10 minutes.

Trading still works, but everything around the platform (workspaces, cBots etc.) is unusable

I don't think it's unrelated. The root cause seems to be the same, as it started at the same time

bug in 5.0.40

I have the same symptoms (tech report has been submitted).

I may add, that it is disconnecting from cTrader ID service. 

Not related to market open hours. My work around is to restart cTrader for another 15 minutes … please fix the issue.

Early yesterday morning all was well with version 5.0.40 but then problems started for me on more than one version of CTrader with 2 different Brokers. A friend also has the same issues with a third Broker.

The issue is preventing me trading today as yesterday.The box to the right of New Order at the top which has saved templates will not work and when I try to change my chart to another instrument or time frame I lose the MacD and any info from the box at the bottom, so very inconvenient.

After logging in initially it works ok for around 10 mins but then the template box greys out and doesn't work.

Please fix this as judging by the comments many have the same issue with different Brokers.

        The Spotware Tech Guy said I needed to speak to my Broker, my Broker responded as below. Please could Spotware respond to the Traders as everyone is unable to use Ctrader         charts at the moment, thanks.

"We understand the issue you are experiencing is from Spotware Ctrader platform.

Unfortunately, we do not have control of the Spotware Ctrader platform and the only solution is to inform Spotware directly.

From our side we have contacted Spotware to inform them the issues you are experiencing as we were also notified by multiple other clients.

You can also post or check if the issue was posted on their forum at https://ctrader.com/forum/ctrader-support/

Should we receive an update or solution we will contact you with the relevant information.

Thank you for your understanding."

At least inform us about the status of the request. Has it been accepted for processing or not, and when can we expect the issue to be resolved? The system is malfunctioning, and there’s no information about any actions being taken to restore its functionality.

It baffles me how bad the spotware team is handling this issue. Is it so hard to just reverse the update and offer us a more stable earlier version that actually works while these bugs are fixed for a new release? The program is not working. And when it's money involved in the process it has to be handled seriously. COME ON.

I can just double that. It's remarkable how poorly this incident is handled and no communication is taking place. Really makes me question my platform choice
