Backtest cache is not where it needs to be
21 Jun 2024, 15:52

Dear cTrader support

I've created a cbot that I was hoping to backtest but keeps failing

I get the following messages within the log

When I check the location of the backtesting cache for the GBUSD h1 data it is not located there and found elsewhere instead.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling cTrader Desktop and also cleared the cache from the general tab within settings and restarted my computer

I've tried copying the files to where one of your threads has suggested but had no success in running the backtest.

Is there a setting within cTrader Desktop to change where it gets the data from for backtesting or is that hard set?

In addition, is this something to do with the installation of the software location which is in the download folder?

Can you please assist?

Kindest regards

Tony

Hi there,

This issue should have been resolved in cTrader v5.0. Try using the new version for your backtesting.

Best regards,

Panagiotis
