new Ctrader 5 versus Ctrader 4

in the Algos, I need this tab as is please .. do not modify it ( the new design is very confusing. chart is now based on Dates rather than number of Trades ! Chart is not fully showing as i have to scroll through the reporting Tab and it doesn't show in realtime ( I have to wait until all optimization finish !!!!! )

also i have multiple instances optimizing at the same time .. how can i know which one finished and which one is still optimizing without clicking on them one by one !! Ctrader 4 was really great .. only add cloud option to it and that's it please !

hey developers how about stop changing stuff that doesnt need changing

What is this? Why is it considered an improvement to double the size of this list by adding an extra row for each cBot all for “add instance” when you had add instance, build etc on one row with the cBot which was perfectly fine? And this isnt even considering the fact that any cBot with a nested for loop can say goodbye to fast backtesting times on tick data. Devs better not be patting themselves on the back with this update, I can already imagine them in the office thinking they pulled a good one. You didn't. Stop changing stuff that doesnt need changing, including layout as ctid has mentioned

+1 this, it occupies too much space.

Also, you should let us create folders to organize bots and indicators, some of us have too many.

YES   THIS IS BIG PROBLEM   I HAVE 500 Bots

my Post
Subject: Feedback on the new cTrader Version 5

Dear cTrader Community,

I would like to introduce ourselves as a non-profit organization that has decided to use cTrader to offer our services on the platform. However, with the release of version 5, we have encountered several challenges.

Firstly, we have always promoted cTrader as faster and more stable than MetaTrader. Unfortunately, with version 5, this is no longer the case. We have over 500 bots and 1000 indicators, and the loading time for cTrader 5 has become significantly longer. The user interface has also become quite cluttered, particularly with the addition of the "Add Instance" button, making it difficult to manage our bots effectively.

Moreover, the "Cloud Bot" feature, which was a promising idea, does not function with bots that require an internet connection. This limitation is critical for us, as our decision to use cTrader was heavily influenced by this capability.

Another practical suggestion would be to define the working directory where the tools are stored as a variable for each bot instance. This would greatly facilitate the management and organization of our bots.

We hope that these issues can be addressed promptly, as they impact our ability to continue promoting and using cTrader as our preferred trading platform.

Thank you for your attention to these matters.

On top of this, backtesting has been slower than ever, which is a pain for developing and optimizing bots

For the time being, i will await a stable version 5 before upgrading as 4.8.30 does everything i need for now… I know it's probably teething issues, but the add instance as a whole new row is a bit mind boggling. I thought the premise was to have everything as compact as possible with function specific controls aligned.

As for the anecdotal stories of impossibly long optimisation runs, I don't think I'll take the risk to determine if this is so for me. Huge step backwards by the sounds of it, which is a shame as this is such a great platform (v4).
