close part of position
12 Jul 2023, 14:28

Hi all,

I have a question. Let's say i open a position of 0.5 lot, and i want to close 0.3 (meaning - leave 0.2)

why does the platform closes the position entirly and open up a new one, of 0.2 lot, at the time of the previous close?

Hi Panagio,

thanks for the reply.

Anyhow - let's say you open a position of 1 lot. Now - You close half (meaning - only 0.5 lot is left) after 20 pips

You will see the closed position of 20 pips of 0.5 lot, and the remained open position - of 0.5 with 0 pips.

how is it makes sense? or I don't understand something?

As i understand - the remained position need to still have 20 pips of 0.5 lot. Doesn't?

Also, you see the mark of the updated position move to the time of the position update.

cheers

Hi there,

Can you demonstrate this e.g. with a video?

Hi There,

Shouldn't be a problem.

Although - it's strange that I'm the only one who encounter this, or again - maybe I'm missing something.

I'll post the video here once I'll create it.

Thanks
