Ctrader on Windows ARM
20 Jun 2023, 16:05

I’ve been running ctrader in parallels on an m2 max MacBook Pro and whilst it is usable it is somewhat slow and laggy, particularly panning in the chart.

Other programs (such as visual studio) run fine in parallels which makes me wonder if this is caused by ctrader not being compiled for arm (as well as x86) so it runs through the emulator as parallels runs the arm version of windows.

Do the ctrader team have any thoughts on this, or plans to review performance optimisations when running on windows arm?

With Qualcomm being expected to announce new arm based processors for windows later this year which could rival the x86 counterparts the user base using arm based processor and therefore windows may soon grow significantly.

Thanks

Hi there,

As far as I know ARM processors are not supported at the moment. Maybe in the future.
