Cannot download ctrader on windows 10

I wish to download the latest ctrader on my windows 10 pc. I have downloaded the setup link from ic markets direct and from my brokers website ftmo. When I click on the setup to install in my downloads it just doesn’t open or do anything.

I have tried:

opening the installer as administrator and still won’t install

Running compatibility troubleshooting and still won’t work

doing a clean install following the procedure on the website to delete all ctrader files and still won’t install

I noticed before deleting ctrader that it said “update error” in red in the top right of the window and if I click it it fails to update

I managed to find an old install of ctrader 4.1 which I have managed to download onto the pc and every time it opens, it tries to download 4.4 and fails

can I have the latest ctrader on windows 10?
