connection error

hi
I just set up a new account with IC markets and i'm unable to launch the cTrader desktop application; with error message "connection error; please check your internet or try again"
I'm able to log in fine to the web version and IC have advised everything looks fine from their end
Any ideas what's happening here / what's the fix?

Please send us some troubleshooting information. To do so, please click on the login form, press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+T, paste the link to this discussion in the text box that will appear and press Submit.

Hi thomaslittler,
Please check if there is something blocking your cTrader from connecting to the server e.g. a firewall or a proxy
