Studies on charts does not save
Studies on charts does not save
08 Apr 2020, 21:14
Hello,
I am using CTrader Desktop. I go through the various pairs and place Support / Resistance lines as well as trend lines on different pairs that I select from my watch list. All this time, I am using the very same workspace. I then save my workspace so that when I login again, my S/R lines are exactly where I placed them and I am able to look for opportunities much faster.
However, the S/R lines move to different levels on the various charts. And because I place about 6 to 10 S/R lines per chart... sometimes about 50 or so S/R lines appear on various pairs that I am studying. It seems like the lines are being transferred from other charts.
Earlier today, I went through 30+ pairs placing the S/R and trend lines and then saved my workspace. Now... about 2 hours later, everything has moved. I was still logged into CTrader.
Does anyone have a solution for this. Its a lot of wasted time setting up each day, to only have the studies disappear.
Kind Regards
MG

Thanks for responding. I have recorded a video, but it won't upload. Says it wants a URL link.

Now I'm done setting up the S/R Lines:
.
Now this is what happens to the next chart I work on. The trend lines I moved on EURUSD, automatically moved on GBPAUD and other charts as well.

Hi mark_govender,
This behavior is by design. Chart objects are kept om the chart even if you change a symbol. If you need to set up a different symbol, you need to open a new chart.
