CPU full when cTrader "Maximized" but OK when "Minimized
29 Feb 2020, 07:13

Running five cTrader instances, multiple charts/bots, only 1 profit loss indicator,

CPU shows full when all running cTraders windows are "Maximized' i.e running full screen, but CPU turn fine when all ctraders are "Minimized" i.e. only bare desktop is visible.

cTrader doing its job properly even when  Minimized.   Its hard to figure out why its clogging up CPU resources when Maximized.  If something is related to "visual aspects" then I suppose it should be GPU to run at full capacity and not the CPU.

Any other trades have similar experience?  Would appreciate any help! Thanks

Hi ctid1373829,

When the window is maximized, graphics need to be rendered as well, hence CPU load increases. Even thought the GPU takes much of the load of rendering, there are still a lot of management tasks to be done by the CPU.
