Ctrader charts showing 9k pip gaps since new years.
16 Jan 2020, 03:05

Hey,

I sent an email to ctrader support, but got an automated response as that channel is no longer used. My issue is as follows:

Unfortunately, since New years, I have been experiencing an issue with the data my Ctrader is displaying. I have contacted my broker about it the day after it happened. They have notified me that they have contacted you guys and I will here back from them soon. However, I still haven't heard anything so I figured I would contact you guys directly. Every time I open my charts or change time frame which forces the chart to reset, it will flatten, because the move was so large it tries to encompass the whole thing in the chart. Is there any way to get rid of the erroneous data? I was told by my broker that it is a data issue and the move wasn't real, however it's messing up my charts constantly since it auto resizes. Thanks in advance.

On New years day, my ctrader triggered a bunch of my alarms which prompted me to check the charts. I took a screenshot right at rollover, however since then the move has only gotten larger. Below is a screenshot of gbpusd right at rollover, as you can see there was a massive gap down (orange bid line all the way at the bottom of the chart) with a spread of around 1400 (top left of chart). At that time gbpjpy was showing a spread of over 2400. Today on my charts on gbp pairs I have 9000 pip wicks which flattens my whole chart.  https://i.imgur.com/fqTfD5X.png

Hi nikolas_stevens,

Price feeds are a responsibility of the broker. You should stay in touch with them regarding this issue.

Best Regards,
