SL cancelled after stop order executed account ran to unlimited loss

SL cancelled after stop order executed account ran to unlimited loss

Greetings,

 

l would like to find out what is the update on the concern for the SL being cancelled after the stop order is executed, l have tried several times to adjust my SL on different orders but sometimes the SL is cancelled and the order runs into loss during news times. How can this be avoided because as you are aware during news 1sec is enough to wipe out an account if the stop loss is cancelled?

What steps can one take to avoid such also is it suppose to be like that?

Hi mthunzibl,

Thanks for posting in our forum. The only case this can happen when the stop loss price is not valid e.g inside the spread. To avoid this, you need to make sure that your SL has a valid price.
