How do you use chart groups

HI, Is there a video or any refernece on how to use chrt groups?  To me they just look like a way to put a little color icon on the corner of the chart tab.  Is that all they are used for?

Ok, great.  Nice feature.

This was the the main benefit.

When two or more charts are linked together and you change the symbol in one of them, the symbol in the rest of the linked chart is also changed automatically.
