fib levels
19 Aug 2013, 00:34

Hi,

Well done on making the enhancements to the fib tool, but where are the 38.20 % and 78.62 % levels??? I can't see why they are excluded over the 11.40 % and 88.60 % levels.

Also, why do you have the fib numbers set to two significant figures if you are rounding some off to one? e.g. it should be 23.61 % , not 23.60 %

Did you also round 38.20 % to 38.00 % ??? You must have used 3/8 to calculate that. Just use 144/377 or a higher fraction.

Just not feeling confident in your calculations.....

Actually, it would be better if we could put in our own levels, otherwise, further corrections would be most welcome.

Thank you.

Thank you for the feedback and kind words. We will seriously consider your proposals for upcoming versions of cTrader. We understand the need to set those levels freely.

get rid of the 3 point pick, allow all custom levels and put an icon to use expansion in the top edge toolbar.

present version is useless for speed

mt4 has done it correctly

I decided to resurrect this post from the past, instead of creating a new one. Happy 2 year birthday btw.

I'm not sure why one of the most fundamental fib levels of 78.62% has been written off for the more obscure fib levels like 11.40%. I do not understand. Please make this available, or simply give us the option to create our own.

Seems that the fib rounding error xandra spoke of is still present in ctrader.

Dear Traders,

We provide users the ability to change the values of the levels by right clicking on the dashed line.

Thanks for that. I recall previously that the fib levels were hard coded. But they can now be edited. Thanks so much!
