Saving the Drawing-Tool Settings

How can i save my Drawings? everytime i want to draw a new box, line etc. i have to choose the colors new.

If i click this checkbox, then also nothing happens. 

I know i can “Save” the color for every Drawing tool, but this is not very useful. i have to change the settings like thickness and other colors again.

 

 

I hope my awareness for details helps you to improve the mac version :)

Did this get fixed? Or did you work it out?
I am in the same boat and don't know how to save the drawing tool presets. 

What I have tried, doesn't appear to save. Quite frustrating.
