BUG: Position not closed in followers accounts
BUG: Position not closed in followers accounts
21 May 2021, 15:00
Hello,
Im the owner of the strategy 15957 - The Unnamed Day Trader.
Yesterday i made a trade that was closed 00h36:
This trade was closed on my side, but some of my followers reported that the trade was still open on their side.
Today, got more reports of the same issue and i had to took the decision to STOP and RESTART my strategy to protect the capital of my investors.
Here is a print screen that a client sent me yesterday when he unfollow my strategy.
If you look at the timestamps you will notice a big diference.
Another printscreen sent from another client:
This second client did not close the position by himself. This was closed when i paused my strategy.
As you know, an issue like this can destroy my clients bankroll and my reputation.
Can you please confirm that you identified the bug and fix it as soon as possible?
Thank you

Hello,
Similar thing happened to me, different timezone.
Maybe we are using the same broker.
Provider gained USD35.34, Copier lost (USD90.45)
Provider DID 102885748
Copier DID 35128794
I will understand if the deviation is minimal.
The candles didn't even touch those entry prices.
Maybe this should be on its own thread.

RE: RE:
I tried to contact IC markets, here is their answer:
The major cause of having differences between your terminal and your signal provider is due to the delay(latency) until the signal reaches your platform from your signal provider. This delay imposes extra time on the execution of your trades. This is true especially during news events, which can cause the executed price to be different from that of your signal provider, significantly. Additionally, the trading style of your signal provider can cause differences in the results, again due to the latency between the two terminals. It tends to be higher with high frequency traders and scalpers.
Furthermore, the trading parameters must be identical to your signal provider. If you are using for example larger volumes than the ones used by your signal provider is possible to get executed at different prices due to slippage and thus altering your PnL
We remain at your disposal for any further clarifications.

I got similar reply from IC Markets, plus " you can try to inquire from the forums regarding the strategy provider https://ctrader.com/forum/ctrader-copy."
