ROI % showed when copying a strategy, why is so high?
19 Mar 2021, 16:03

Hello everyone,

I want to understand the monthly ROI for a strategy but I see a very high number

is that the profit considering compound interest over time or what?
And where exactly can I check the monthly average profit (some traders say that in their description but I want to check the actual statistics)

Thank you

You can read how ROI is calculated here.

Yes I had seen the page https://help.ctrader.com/ctrader-copy/index/roi
but I am still not sure when I see a 4.000 % monthly ROI... that is certainly not the ROI I can expect when copying the strategy, which will be maybe 30% or 40% in a month

So I guess my question is what that very high ROI % stands for?

Thank you

Hi Niccolo,

It means that somebody started with a very low balance and placed some very high risk trades to increase his ROI. You can check the equity tab and undertand.
