Market names across different brokers

Market names across different brokers

Hi all,

 

Apologies if this has been asked before, I did scroll back through the forums to find an answer but couldn't. Just a question re: the names for each market on different brokers.

I don't see this necessarily being an issue with FX, but could be with Indices and Futures.

Let's say for example I am a strategy provider and I place a trade on the DAX index, which is "DE30" on IC Markets. If I have a follower using a different broker, who refers to that market as perhaps "DAX" or "GER30", will the trade be copied?
