Why are DEMO accounts allowed to copy strategies from LIVE accounts?

By allowing Demo accounts to copy strategies, you explicitly make a way to trick strategy providers and get all positions without paying any penny for it. What's the point then for the copy trader feature if none of the truly respectable and profitable traders will ever want to share his/her positions for free? So far this sounds like a totally useless overpromoted feature.

Please consider developing a protection for intellectual property of traders.

RE: I agree with my colleagues, allowing demo accounts to copy isn't a fair business. In name of transparency and differentiation from other systems on the market, it is urged to stop it. Needless to say that same apply for strategy providers. Cheers.

Great news! I took a quick glance at the new version and the best feature is that earned commissions will no longer be deposited into the trading account. That was really inconvenient so I'm glad to see it was corrected. So, when will the beta phase end and the new version will go live?

In the cTrader copy Telegramgroup we use demo copy to get the right figures to compare the various strategies.
No demo follow => no info for us => no comparison for traders.
So please allowing demo copy is beneficial to all and for Spotware please Add a 'delay parameter' for seeing the positions (legally allowed because there is no real money involved!)

I have stopped and restarted my strategy a couple of times to get rid of the demo accounts, but I cannot continue doing this all the time. Is there a way to block demo accounts? I've been a successful trader for several years and I can provide different strategies to investors using your platform, but the current configuration is discouraging for strategy providers who put a lot of time and effort into finding an edge over the markets.
