backtesting and optimization mode problems
24 Oct 2015, 06:59

cAlgo runs 1, 2 or more times in backtesting or optimization mode and then it refuses to run. When the start button is clicked, it runs for a couple of seconds and then it stops. The signing out and the closing of the program and then starting it again helps to solve this issue, but it's kind of annoying.

Dear Trader,

Could you please provide us with more information regarding your issue?

Do you receive any error messages, exception codes?

No, I don't receive any error messages or codes. What kind of additional info do you need?

Dear Trader,

Does it happen if you run an empty cBot?

Does this happen every time you run a different cBot in Backtesting?

If it happens only when you run the same cBot, could you please send us your code at troubleshooting@spotware.com. It will be used only for troubleshooting purposes.

Yes it happens. Restart cAlgo and try again.

It happens with different bots.

@Spotware: This problem still exists. I did a lot of optimisations and backtestings lately and frequently encounter the described behaviour, but only when starting optimisation runs. Please have a look into it.

Hi der.timosch,

Thanks for informing us about this issue. Can you please send some troubleshooting information when this happens so that our quality assurance team get the information required to be able to locate the problem? You can do this by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + T when in cAlgo and submitting the form that pops up. In the text area, please put the link to this thread.

Best Regards,

Panagiotis
