Cbot placed trade when deleted from automate
27 Sep 2019, 16:12
I have recently had a cbot built and just started live trading with it.
I had found a new issue occur with it so deleted all instances and the cbot from my ctrader account yet some 18 hours later the cbot placed 2 trades?
1. The instances had been deleted
2. The cbot had been deleted (around 18 hours earlier)
3. There had never been an issue with teh cbot related to setting orders 18 hours in advance
Does anyone know how this could have happened?
Many thanks
Regards
Geoff

Thanks for your reply.
My broker Icmarkets have no interest in helping and only advised to contact spotware. (I have since withdrawn my funds from them)
Spotware said that I need to request help from this forum... Again I feel poor support.
Anyway.. I did have a trade running from the previous day generated by the cbot.
That trade was a different currency pair to the two trades generated and I had also ammended that trade with new stop losses etc taking any action from the cbot out of the equation I thought.
I had previously deleted all instances and then the cbot from three areas.
1. Icmarkets
2. a second broker account
3. a VPS that Icmarkets recommended
All three areas had been deleted one after the other.
I also check to confirm they had been deleted several times prior to when the cbot normally triggered.
I'm sure this is a basic error by me I just dont know what that was and I dont want it to happen again.
Thanks again for you help.
Geoff

Hi Geoff,
Please note that Spotware does not offer official support to traders since you are not our direct clients and we do not have access to trading execution information. Investigating execution issues is a sole responsibility of the broker with whom you have a business relationship. If your broker cannot give you an answer to what happened, they can always contact our support department and authorize them to investigate further. Nevertheless, we are always open to help traders via this forum however in this case we do not have enough information to determine what caused this issue. It could have been anything e.g. accidentally starting the cBot. If you manage to reproduce this behavior again, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Panagiotis

Thanks
I've recontacted icmarkets and all i can say is that they have confirmed it was the cbot that triggered the two trades. but again thats the end of their support.
Thanks for your help to date and lets see if they will actually put more effort into supprting their clients.
Cheers

Did you delete/stop the cBot from VPS ?
Hi luigi,
Yes i deleted the instances and the the the cbot itself leaving no cbots at all.
I did this on the VPS and also my home computer.
I also rechecked several times leading into when the cbot is set to work and there was nothing in either account in the automate area.
Maybe I also need to delete it fro somewhere else?.

Hi Geoff,
Thanks for posting in our forum. What you describe sounds very weird.
