getting the range of a chart

Is there any way to get the range of a chart?  I am using the Drawtext method and I want to place a label at the index x-position so it can't be static but I want the y-position to be at either the top or bottom of the screen and not at a market series price.

 

Any ideas on how to do this?

I figured that if I had the high or low of the chart I could use that value.  This is not the same as the high or low of the series

I would like to get the day labels on the same y-position independent of scrolling left or right.

We are planning to enhance the DrawText methods to support additional features including specifying X, Y coordinates for static position texts.
