Making Journals Account Specific.
03 Oct 2017, 10:23

Hi Calgo Team.

I have recently noticed that all journal information gets written to a single monthly journal.

For me that means that 8 Demo Accounts and Two Live Accounts are streaming to the one journal.

No account information is sent to the journal so it makes cross referencing extremely difficult.

Sorting through 8 Demo Account transactions to find One Live Account Trade is very impractical.

When other people use my computer to trade on their accounts , all their journal information gets saved in my journal.

One of my monthly journals has over 350000 lines of text.   Too Much , I think.

Seperating this information would make the information more accessable .

( I would sort the information myself but seeing as there is no account information . It is impossible and therefore makes the information worthless to me ).

May I suggest an Account specific journal , so that each account has separate journal information .

This should be easily achieved  by changing the Path Name for the journal file simply adding "Account.Number " to the file name.

eg..........."/BrokerName/journal-2017-10-" + Account.Number + " .txt"  ............

Or creating separate Account Directories for each Broker Directory.

eg..........."/BrokerName/Acc-12345678/journal-2017-10.txt"

A Simple Solution To A Simple Problem.
