What is the easiest way the download historical tick data?

I'm asking in the Open API forum, since I found this page:

https://help.ctrader.com/open-api/symbol-data/#attaining-historical-bar-data

I don't use Open API as of now, and I see that one needs to register a new app to use it, even choose a logo.

I use the FIX API right now, but that doesn't support accessing historical data. The best option to get such historical bar data is to create an Open API app, or is there as easier way to download it?

Also, is it broker specific data? Thus, any broker(s) one might choose to use, if they support cTrader, then one can easily get their historical tick data from here?

Thank you,

Gabor

Just code a bot and dump to a file the bid price on each tick event. I did it some years ago to have some historical data.
