How to lower response time

Hey Guys :)

I want to get the positions pip movement.
Now I'm doing a web request to connect/tradingaccount/positions and the response time is a-little-bit-slow for me.
If I use the Trading API to subscribe to the quites and calculate the pips on my own would it be faster the the web request?

In principle it should be faster since Trading API is optimized with communication speed in mind. If you decide to proceed with this, It would be interesting to share some comparisons with the rest of the community.
