How to know if a position has been closed by SL
06 Jan 2016, 17:42

Good afternoon,

There is any way to know if a position has been closed by a stop loss (to put into the positionClosed function)?

I look for this into forum but without any result.

Help will be appreciate.

Tks

Dear Trader,

Currently there is no such method to return you the why the position was closed. However, by comparing the entry price and the close price of your historical trade, you could identify if your positions were closed because SL was triggered.

Tks for your reply, I already thought about this way.

Stop loss or target triggered

Any trader would like to have the information if the stop loss or target was triggered and to what price and pips.

The Bought and Sold cBot will give that kind of information. Also of interest are if there is any excessive slippage when executed.

Download Bought and Sold cBot  and try it out, it's free to use!
