Avoid immediate execution of a second position while first position is being executed

Hello Team

I am using Amazon AWS free tier vps for testing some bots on demo accounts and it is very slow for executing new positions. So when a position is being opened, another position is opened immediately too even though bot has logic to open only one position at a time by checking number of opened positions. How can I avoid opening a second positon based on signals while first position is being opened because of the slowness of the system?
