Dear cTrader team,

Thanks for the update.

Could you plase clarify what is the meaning of the following sentence in the context of a Release Notes communication?

"The following issues were addressed"

Does it mean that these issues will be fixed in the next update?

Thanks for clarifying.

Dear cTrader team,

Being informed that several memory leaks have been fixed on this version is, in fact, something I didn't want to hear.

Reason:

I opened a new cTrader instance (v4.6.4) which was launched with ~300Mb and, in less than 72h including the whole weekend, it was using ~1700Mb.

Furthermore, there was no activity, at all, performed on this instance.

Is it legitimate to think that this will never be solved?

As far as I can see, cTrader memory leaks have been reported, at least, since 2013.

Thank you!

Dear cTrader team,

Any comments?

  • For how long will you keep pretending this is not an issue?
  • For how long will you keep blaming traders' cBots for the evident cTrader memory leaks?

Traders need an effective trading solution over anything described as "visually beautiful".

Is this too hard to understand? What are you selling after all?

Thanks for informing!

Dear ncel01,

Unfortunately we were not able to identify the root cause that is causing the memory leak in your case yet. As soon as we are able to reproduce the problem, we will fix it.

Best regards,

cTrader Team

Dear cTrader team,

What you mean by "in your case"?

After all this is not a general issue but only happening to me. Is that what you mean?

As I told you, I've launched a cTrader instance without performing any activity on it, so, there's nothing that can be associated to the user's behaviour here.

Furthermore, I've already tested cTrader on 3 different machines, including a VPS, and the result is always the same. RAM usage keeps increasing to a point that the app will kill itself!

Maybe my cTrader account has been sabotaged?

Kind request to raise the level of your communications, otherwise it gets difficult to take you seriously.

For the sake of transparency, could you please share a sample of cTrader memory profile (in your case) running for 1 week?

I would love to notice that it remains flat and that, after all, the problem lies on my side.

Thanks for providing evidence on this as I've already provided evidence enough.

Dear cTrader team,

Please:

  • Clarify what you mean by "in your case".
  • Provide the requested evidence.

FYI (I would definitely feel ashamed):

This is definitely not your fault brother. I tried it too and experienced exactly the same thing.

Hi Nick,

I am aware of that.

Unfortunately, it looks like Spotware prefers to neglect the evidence and keep implying that this is traders fault rather than solving the issue.

What a reliable business model.

Given this, and considering that this evident issue has been reported since 2013, at least, I can only assume that they are not able to fix the problem.

In the meantime, 2 other traders have replied to this post, however nothing is shown.
An issue that I've noticed long ago (as soon as I joined this forum), that still remains unsolved.

Memory Leaks

Guys what exact steps did you use to create your memory leaks? You must have at least opened a chart?
